About the Clinic
The Lord Taylor Music Therapy Clinic is a unique project, made possible through the generous donation of the Bench & Bar Committee and the UJIA, in memory of Lord Peter and Lady Irena Taylor. The clinic’s purpose is to make music therapy available to all those who may benefit from it in the Jerusalem area. Located at the David Yellin Academic College of Education in Jerusalem, the Lord Taylor Clinic is among the best equipped music therapy clinics in Israel, with a large variety of musical instruments and advanced musical technology equipment. This project is the first of its kind in Israel, providing music and voice therapy administered exclusively by board-certified therapists.
About the Therapists
All treatments are administered by board-certified and highly experienced music therapists holding a Master's degree and above in the field, to ensure you receive nothing less than the very best care. Our therapists have undergone extensive training, including clinical field work and professional supervision as required by the Ministry of Health. You may choose a therapist who is an English speaker, a Hebrew speaker, or bilingual.
Choose your Treatment
You may choose among our unique treatment options:
- Music therapy
- Voice therapy
- Therapeutic voice development
- Therapeutic instrument instruction
We additionally provide guidance for parents and clinical supervision for educational and professional staff.
How Do I Know if This is the Right Therapy For Me?
Music and voice therapy are suitable for individuals of all ages. The love of music and/or singing, the ability to enjoy it, and the willingness to express yourself through it are important criteria in considering if this therapy could benefit either you or your child. We assess every individual’s suitability to the therapy through an initial intake session. No prior musical or vocal training is necessary.
